The San Sebastián Baroque Ensemble, founded in 1974, promotes classical music, especially from the Baroque period. Over 50 years, numerous musicians have passed through the group, initially directed by Tomás Aragüés and, since 2008, by Sergio Zapirain. They have participated in prominent festivals such as Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, Ordizia Bach Festival, and other local and external events in Seville or Miranda de Ebro. Their Christmas concerts at the Santa Teresa convent in the Old Town have been a moving tradition. Recent performances include H. Purcell's The Old Bachelor with Baroque dance and A. Vivaldi concertos performed by the concertmaster Francisco Herrero. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2024 with special cocentrs at the San Telmo Museum, Chillida-Leku and the Barroko Aire festival.
